Motorica has already made a significant impact globally, producing over 8,000 prostheses for patients in 17 countries since its founding in 2015. In Russia, Motorica is a top-3 medtech company with a 45% market share. In India, it already collaborates closely with over 25 clinics across key states, including Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, as well as in several other regions nationwide.

The launch of the New Delhi office underscores the growing scientific and high-tech cooperation between Russia and India. A recent initiative for such cooperation is a memorandum signed at the end of 2024, establishing the Russian-Indian Technology Platform and the Russian-Indian Association in High Technologies. This initiative aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and integrate advanced research solutions across fields like IT, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, electronics, engineering, and more. Additionally, representatives from Indian companies Bharrosa and CIRTC attended the launch of the Motorica office, highlighting joint efforts to enhance technological advancements and support prosthetic care in India. This initiative will also involve close collaboration with local universities — Kanpur University and a hub of the Higher School of Economics at the University of Delhi — to foster research and innovation in prosthetics, as well as to train prosthetists, deepening local expertise and improving patient care.

The New Delhi office will enable Motorica to strengthen its outreach and provide tailored service to patients, healthcare professionals, and rehabilitation centers throughout India. This strategic initiative aims to meet the needs of the increasing amputee population estimated at around 1 million individuals, with hundreds of thousands added each year. This figure is derived from a prevalence rate of approximately 0.62 amputees per thousand population and a large number of new amputees added each year due to accidents, illnesses, and other causes. Motorica is committed to delivering advanced and accessible prosthetic solutions to improve the quality of life for individuals with limb loss in the region.

Motorica offers leg prostheses with carbon foot models produced in partnership with a leading Turkish company IB-ER. Lower limb amputations represent a significant majority of all amputation cases, accounting for 94.8% according to research by the National Library of Medicine.

The company is known for its innovative use of 3D printing, the Internet of Things, and other advanced technologies. Motorica offers prostheses with natural skin-tone finishes to make the limb look almost indistinguishable from the lost one. It also has its own design studio to manufacture prostheses according to an individual design.
